  1st Cousin Nicholas Fortmann, age 20, and Son of her Sister, Maria Catherine nee: Lauermann Fortmann, whose husband (Clemens), 7 years ago, was accidently killed when a wagon's axel broke burying him under a wagon-wheel's load of schwein-scheibs, is known from the New Trier 1880 Census, p16., to be living with Joseph and Margaret. Undoubtedly he was working in the Dry Goods Store with owner Joseph whose Grandfather, John founded the Tavern in the 1840's and the Dry Goods Store shortly thereafter.
