At age 7, Hermann Heinrich is incapable of conducting the business of the Farm although he has just inherited the KleineFortmann Rights contained in the Land-Lease agreement running from the Delgallo Lords of the 1500's.
It can be surmised that a brother of deceased Wilhelm's or an Uncle from the GrossFortmann line entered the picture to assist Widow Anna Elizabeth and her young family. |

Abt 1748 |
Kleinefortmann Farm Sudlohne |
| At age 16, after 9 years under a patriarcal male relative, it can be assummed that Hermann Heinrich has matured in oats and barley farming and pig raising activities of the farm's fields. He steps into his deceased Father's shoes on the Kleine Farm. |

| Illness & Death |
24 Feb 1807 |
Kleinefortmann Farm Sudlohne |
| At age 74 my time is approaching. I have sheparded this Farm for 59 years through bountiful harvest and lean years. I leave it in my Grandaughter Katherina Maria's capable hands since her Mother and my daughter Anna Maria is already dead some 2 1/2 years. |
| Died |
25 Feb 1807 |
KleineFortman Farm, Sudlohne, Vecta (District) Oldenburg, Germany |
- Possible death entries from Pastore Suttholt's St Gertrud Record:
p.128 - 27 Feb [1779] Herbert Fortman 57 [b. abt 1722]
p.236 - 25 Feb 1807 Herman Hen [Heinrich] Fortman; [calculated birth date 1722]
p.250 - 21 Feb 1810 Herm.[Herman] Hen [Heinrich]: Fortman viduus 68; [birth date 1742]
since there are several Herbert Fortmann's in the GROSSfortmann line (23 Nov 1794 and 29 Oct 1831)
it is more probable that the correct Herman Heinrich is the 25 Feb 1807.... beacause the 21 Feb 1810 Herman would have only been 22 years of age at his daughter Anna Maria's birth and since German males of this period married about 26 he would have been 21 when he sired her. The Father, Wilhelm Wilke would have been 36 when 1807 was born versus 46 when 1810 was born, rather late for a 1st born son. 1807 is more probable.
