Notes: The is one of the 6 buiral pits dug in 14 CE by Roman General Germanicus 5 years after the battle in his quest for the 3 Lost Roman Standards.....he recovers 1 and antoher is returned by the Cheruscians some years later.

These 6 grave sites are lost in the mists of history until rediscovered in the 1980's by a retired English Army Major and his metal detector. The bodies, clothing and arms had been preserved for 1971 years.
