1845 (Johannn) J.B. Lauermann Dry Goods Store and original Tavern on right, Photo 1880-1890, located on the west side of Ridge Ave at Forest (near todays Mallinckrodt College) New Trier (now Wilmette) IL. Lauermann Daughter's Katherina and Maria Katherine undoubtedly enjoyed many an hour here with their husband's to be, and the brothers, Heinrich and Clemens Fortmann from Lohne, Germany. They well knew the boy's older sister Anna Maria KlieneFortmann and surely attended her funeral on Sept 1, 1846 in the new Catholic Cemetery of St Joseph's just 2 blocks down the road. Their pastor was a GrossFortmann also. The Lauermann's were from Buschfeld, Marzig-Wadern, Saarland, Germany. This is in SW Germany near the French border.
